Week 13 & 14 Notes:
Two games this weekend, missing a lot of
players, showed team character.
Played a Cary team fighting for a playoff spot. They were feisty and
dirty. Started the game with 10 players on the biggest field we played
in so far, and played the last 20 minutes of the first half with 9. I
had to leave the field to get Robert and Ernesto to the field. We need
to get this guy a good map, second time he gets lost in a week. Half
ended 1-1 on a goal by Victor. Cary had 20 players and was subbing 5
at a time. Once we got Ernesto and Robert, we dominated the second
half and scored 3 more goals. Victor, Tommy and Chris closed out the
scoring for a 4-1 win.
I had to call the reserves in the second game. We were down to 9
players and last minute phone calls to Rene and Johnny Voules gave us
11. The other Celtic team only had 10. Game was total domination. It
was nice seeing the ball moving from side to side. They got worn out
and we could not finish. We broke them down enough to score 3 goals,
Victor, Rene and Robert for a 3-0 win.
