Kris Salvador scored all 5 goals in a physical win against the Celtics to take a share of the league lead. Johnny Tovar had a goal and an assist in the Celtic loss.

 WINGS 5 DYNAMO 4
Marian Abramiuk and Joe Owerko each scored 2 goals to lead the wings to a 5-4 win over the Dynamo. Schlenkers 2 goals weren’t enough for the Dynamo.

 CELTICS 5 WINGS 0
Ernesto Acuna and Johnny Tovar scored the 5 goals for the Celtics as the Wings could just not get started. Celtics keep a share of the league lead with the win and Carlo earns a shutout

 DYNAMO 4 LIONS 1
The Lions had a chance to get sole possession of first place but they could not solve the keeper heroics of Dynamo, Mom Luzak. Cesar Alfazo scored twice for the Dynamo.

6:00   KOZAKS V DYNAMO
A must game for the Dynamo. They must keep Kozak Motolko from scoring. A dynamo loss here and they are all but eliminated from the playoffs.

6:35   GREEN MACHINE V CELTICS
If the Machine wants to win the regular season crown, they must win here. The Machine’s Claudio and Celtic, Ernesto need big games if they want to remain in the race for the Golden Boot.

7:10   KOZAKS V CELTICS
The Kozaks still have dreams of the regular season crown. Celtic Carlo will try and slow down Jerry Motolko in his race for the Golden Boot.

8:10   GREEN MACHINE V DYNAMO
Playoff spots are sure to be at stake for both teams in this game. The Machine’s Claudio and Mark Shlenker of the Dynamo are also still in the hunt for the Golden Boot.


 

 3rd ANNUAL UKRAINIAN NIGHT
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 20TH VS. L.A. GALAXY

The Chicago Fire thanks the 7v7 league for their support of the 2003 Ukrainian Night. Every team committed to 20 vouchers. An exciting night is planned, honoring Chicago’s Ukrainian community. The 2003 7 v 7 Champions will be recognized at halftime. Plan on joining us.  Your vouchers may be redeemed from Dynamo player,Greg Zaskowski at all 7 v 7 games. For additional tickets or to redeem vouchers for other Fire games call Greg at 312-705-7235. 

THE KITCHEN IS OPEN

ATTENTION ALL PLAYERS!!! Take advantage of the refreshments at the Palatine CYM bar. Pizza, beer, chips etc. will be served throughout the night, every night during the 2003 season. Eat during the games and stick around after. Also, plan on attending the 2003 Steak Night. Look for details in future editions of the update.
